Research has proven that exposure to arts at a young age helps kids stay in--and finish--school. Unfortunately, some families simpy can't afford to make us of our borough's cultural offerings. Cool Culture makes the arts accessible.

Welcome to the Brooklyn Community Foundation Grant Guidelines
As part of our mission to improve the lives of people in Brooklyn, the Brooklyn Community Foundation distributes grants for the best ideas and programs in the borough—to those organizations that work hard every day to enable people to reach their full potential, improve our neighborhoods and strengthen our common sense of purpose.
We strive to make our grantmaking process fair, transparent and meaningful—both for those seeking grants and for those who donate to Brooklyn Community Foundation and help make these grants possible.
In this section, you will learn more about our Grantmaking process, our decision making and our timelines. If you are interested in applying for a Brooklyn Community Foundation grant, please carefully review our guidelines, starting with our eligibility requirements. You’ll note that we have introduced several Fields of Interest funds and that our application is only available online. For insight into our current grantees, please click here.
We thank you for choosing the challenging path of community service and wish you the best of luck as we collectively work to Do Good Right Here, in Brooklyn.
