BROOKLYN COMMUNITY FOUNDATION HOSTS FOOD PANTRIES DISCUSSING NEW CHALLENGES
The Brooklyn Community Foundation hosts a discussion by leaders of Brooklyn-based food pantries on the new challenges they face during a recession and on creative anti-poverty solutions, including growing their own produce to supplement pantry supplies Tuesday, June 8 at 6 p.m., 45 Main Street, Suite 409, Brooklyn.
The Foundation makes grants to the most effective nonprofit groups working on important issues throughout Brooklyn’s diverse communities, including these food pantries. The presentation is in cooperation with the Mayor’s Office of NYC Service, which links volunteers with not-for-profit organizations throughout the city.
