Brooklyn's "Low Line"
Brooklyn has about 30 miles of some of the city’s most beautiful waterfront, with views of New York’s famous skyline and the Statue of Liberty. But many born and bred here have never seen it.

Erin is a co-founder of ioby.org (as in "in our backyards"), an online platform where people can find local volunteer opportunities or find small projects to which they want to donate.
About This Do Gooder:
Erin has created both a site and space for small community projects geared towards improving and greening New York City. Through the site, people can donate to a variety of small but meaning projects like composting, public education, cleanup, the creation of glory gardens with seniors or kids making bags for a greener city.
Community Impact:
By creating ioby, Erin created a mechanism for people to be involved--and invest--in their own the community by raising money and contributing to grassroots efforts to help improve our neighborhoods. She is also inspiring and helping those who have never started a community project--to get started.
