Founded in 1942, the Catherine McAuley High School in East Flatbush was once a convent whose rooms, over time, were left empty. Today, as a model in-city boarding program, the rooms are full again with young women gaining an "education for life."

Hope Reichbach Fund Memorial

The Hope Reichbach Memorial Fund provides scholarships for young adults in Brooklyn participating in summer internships dedicated to public service and community organizing.
We will continue Hope's legacy of progressive values and grassroots activism by investing in a new generation of Brooklyn-based leaders.
Update: Read the Fund's Winter 2012 Newsletter
The fund will provide stipends for dedicated college students who embody the values Hope stood for but do not have the means to fund their own summer learning experiences; facilitate internships with Brooklyn organizations involved in community issues and activism; and create mentorship opportunities and a network of contacts for our interns, enhancing their career development. Hope for Brooklyn.
The Hope Reichbach Memorial Fund has been established as a fund of the Brooklyn Community Foundation. The Brooklyn Community Foundation, the largest philanthropy in Brooklyn, gives donors the power to Do Good Right Here.
