Our Impact

Since 2009, the Brooklyn Community Foundation has invested more than $12 million in the most effective nonprofit organizations serving our communities. 

Using an open, competitive process, the Brooklyn Community Foundation awards grants to the borough's most innovative nonprofits in five distinct "fields of interest" funds that focus on improving the quality of life for Brooklynites. Each fund has clearly articulated objectives and reflects the borough's current and changing needs.

Over the past decade, the Community Foundation has worked with visionary leaders to help form partnerships and programs to help build communities throughout our borough.
