On Friday, June 1, we will officially launch our new “Do Good Right Here” Volunteer Initiative and its website, DoGoodRightHere.org, where you can search for volunteer opportunities, learn more about our nonprofits and neighborhoods, get advice, read blogs, and even nominate a volunteer to be the “Do Gooder of the Week!”

To celebrate, we’re inviting you to join us at these launch week events, where Community Foundation representatives will guide you through signing up on the new website, discuss the issues and challenges affecting our residents and neighborhoods, how our nonprofit community is working to address the needs, and the many ways you can roll up your sleeves and make a difference.

• Saturday, June 2nd at the Brooklyn Flea in Fort Greene, 10am-5pm (176 Lafayette Ave): Look for our table outside the main entrance on Lafayette!
   
• Tuesday, June 5th at Brooklyn Industries in DUMBO, 7-9pm (70 Front St)
  
  
  
  During the in-store event, Brooklyn Industries will donate a percentage of sales to support our volunteer initiative.
  
  Brooklyn-based businesses Sixpoint Brewery, NY Distilling Company, Q Drinks, Brooklyn Roasting Company, and Brooklyn Salsa will provide complimentary refreshments for guests. Invite your friends on Facebook!
