Since we released the findings from Brooklyn Insights last month, we’ve been overwhelmed by both the local and national response to our boroughwide community engagement effort.
Earlier this week, we stopped by Brooklyn Independent Media’s BK Live to share what we learned in our conversations with nearly 1000 residents and community leaders across the borough.
The Foundation Center’s GrantCraft learning network, a service for grantmakers around the country, asked BCF President Cecilia Clarke to blog about the Brooklyn Insights process and the importance of putting “community” first in community foundations.
Foundations and grantmakers across the country are now talking about what's happening here in Brooklyn. We invite you to join the conversation and send your feedback on Twitter with #BrooklynInsights:
From Crain’s New York to the national Council on Foundations' Community Foundation Conference, we’re thrilled that the Brooklyn Insights story is out, and that so many people are learning about how we're working to spark community-led change.
Brooklyn Insights is just the beginning for Brooklyn Community Foundation. With the announcement of our new strategy, we’re now fielding committees of residents, leaders, and donors to lead each of our new initiatives. We look forward to telling you more about the launch of these new programs early next year!
