Founded in 1942, the Catherine McAuley High School in East Flatbush was once a convent whose rooms, over time, were left empty. Today, as a model in-city boarding program, the rooms are full again with young women gaining an "education for life."

Arts for All Fund
Brooklyn is a playground for artistic and cultural explorations. However, our music organizations and youth scholarships are underfunded, libraries have reduced hours and our museums, zoos and gardens are under- resourced.
The Arts for All Fund makes the arts a fun and essential component of life in Brooklyn. Its goals are to:
- Serve Brooklynites with diverse interests by supporting the outreach efforts of local arts and cultural organizations.
- Integrate the arts into schools and after-school programs.
- Promote collaborations that employ the arts to address pressing community issues.
Your contribution to the Arts for All Fund helps integrate arts and culture into everyday life.
