Finance Manager (She/Her/Hers)
Kamaria (Kam) joined the Brooklyn Community Foundation in March 2021 as Finance Manager. Born and raised in Brooklyn, she is passionate about serving her community and has over a decade of experience in not-for-profit finance and administration. Prior to joining the Foundation, Kam served as the Director of Finance and Administration at the National Academy of Design where she oversaw all finance and investment activities and developed strategic planning initiatives with an emphasis on policy to include DEI efforts. With keen attention to detail, Kam is also a respected Business Improvement Consultant and works with several not-for-profit and for-profit entities to develop and enhance growth implementation strategies.
Kam currently serves on a Charter School Board of Directors where she is Chair of the Nominating Committee and is an active member of the Finance Committee. She is also a volunteer Financial Literacy Teacher with the National Association of Black Accountants and serves as a Mentor through the Read Ahead program for elementary school students.
Kam holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Finance from Brooklyn College. She currently resides in Canarsie where she lives with her two sons.
