Kimberly Izar

Donor Services Manager (She/Her/Hers)

Kim joins the Brooklyn Community Foundation with a commitment to reimagining our collective power through transformative giving and equitable wealth redistribution. Kim has spent her career mobilizing vital resources for various sized racial and social justice organizations that span across community, civic, and public health, including youth development, gender equity, affordable housing, and civic participation.

Prior to joining Brooklyn Community Foundation, she managed philanthropic and individual giving at the Participatory Budgeting Project where she organized hundreds of donors to expand budget justice and participatory democracy efforts across North America. Kim was also the Development Manager at one of the largest economic development agencies in the San Francisco Bay Area supporting Latinx families with asset-building programming. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing and Social Entrepreneurship from Northeastern University. 

Kim is a proud Filipino-American with abundant love and respect for the generations of leaders that came before her. She lives in Bedford-Stuyvesant and enjoys traveling, deepening her mindfulness practice, and finding new music.
