Join us for a special screening of Ava DuVernay's important, thought-provoking documentary, 13th, co-presented with Brooklyn Academy of Music's BAMCinematek.
In the film, scholars, activists and politicians analyze the criminalization of African Americans and the U.S. prison boom.
Following the screening, Brooklyn Community Foundation grantees will participate in a panel discussion moderated by Nick Turner, President of the Vera Institute of Justice:
