An Urgent Call to Action from our Hardest Hit Communities
From the start of the pandemic, we have focused on Black communities and communities of color across Brooklyn who have suffered immense economic hardships while enduring higher case rates and fatalities.
And we have heard their urgent call to invest in long-term change.
Through our Brooklyn COVID-19 Response Fund, $2.5 million over the next 5 years will go to racial justice organizations leading policy and advocacy campaigns that address the root causes of the pandemic’s disproportionate impacts.
Among them is Brooklyn Movement Center. In the video below, the organization's Deputy Director Anthonine Pierre talks about their Campaign for Black Brooklyn.
Social change does not happen overnight, and it cannot happen without the generosity of friends, neighbors, and supporters like you. Your support makes this investment possible.
It's time for change, and change starts here.
