Celebrating Our Growing Board

We are proud to share that our Board has recently grown, with the addition of three new trustees who share our love for and dedication to Brooklyn.

This spring, we appointed Shaheen Rushd, Former Litigation Attorney at Pomerantz Haudek Block Grossman, and Vishal Sheth, Partner and Co-Head of Global FIG at Apollo to our Board — and we are thrilled to welcome Timothy Simons, Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder of Forethought Advisors, LLC, as the newest trustee to Brooklyn Community Foundation.

Bringing together individuals from all different walks of life, with ties across Brooklyn, has been one of the key strengths of our board. The contributions of our Board of Directors to our work are critical to strengthening our commitment to racial justice, and guarantees that we move forward with clarity and confidence.
