Today we’re pleased to announce four new grants from our Immigrant Rights Fund that address ongoing community needs stemming from policy changes initiated in 2017 and 2018 by the current presidential administration—including family separation, tightening restrictions on refugees entering the country, the Muslim Travel Ban, and protections for immigrant workers.

Thanks to our generous donors, the Foundation had a record-breaking year for investment in Brooklyn in 2018—and in particular, we have seen the growth of our Donor Advised Funds (DAFs).

Brooklyn Community Foundation welcomes Rabbi Rachel Timoner, the Senior Rabbi of Congregation Beth Elohim (CBE) in Park Slope, to our Board of Directors effective Friday, January 25, 2019.

Thanks to our donors and Donor Advised Fund holders, we raised a record-breaking $16.5 million in 2018 to serve our borough.
