The Osborne Association

Case management services for formerly incarcerated older adults and families of those currently imprisoned, advocates for sentencing and parole reforms, and trains older adults to use their experience in the justice system to become outspoken voices for change.

Project Guardianship

To increase the availability of exemplary guardianship services, increase the use of alternatives to guardianship, and correct gaps in the guardianship system in order to enable self-determination and preserve dignity for older adults in the least restrictive setting possible

Grow Brooklyn

To provide intensive outreach, compassionate counseling, and direct assistance aimed at keeping older adult homeowners in their homes in the face of financial exploitation, particularly in communities of color.

GRIOT Circle

To ensure that all LGBTQ+ elders of color experience a just and abundant quality of life through a variety of services within its adult daycare programs, monthly social and support groups, and outreach to homebound seniors—as well as through partnerships with other eldercare organizations to increase their competency of care around race, gender, sexual orientation, HIV/AIDS, and sexual health.

GrowHouse NYC

To support arts and activism programming that connects young Black creatives and activists to older artists for support and mentorship, including a gap year program for Black high school graduates to learn about equitable design, power, organizing, and history through workshops, travel, and a community design school.

The Campaign Against Hunger

Founded in 1998 in Bedford Stuyvesant, today (TCAH) aims to empower its neighbors across Brooklyn to lead healthier, more productive and self-sufficient lives by increasing their access to nutritious food and related resources. The organization’s food pantry provides 3 million meals annually while acting as a hub for benefits access and food justice programming—including a wellness club for seniors, an intergenerational healthy dining initiative for families, and a free summer kids program.

Lantern Community Services

To provide comprehensive harm reduction services to improve the overall quality of life for clients, including at two supportive housing sites in Brooklyn that serve formerly unhoused residents living with chronic illnesses such as HIV/AIDS and/or diagnosed mental health conditions. Staff also provide Naloxone training and kits and overdose prevention education to residents.
