If your organization is helping make Brooklyn Greener, it may be eligible to participate in our new spring Micro Grants initiatives, two exciting partnerships with ioby.org and Green Guerillas.
As you may know, Brooklyn Community Foundation's Micro Grants program provides $500 grants to volunteer-run Brooklyn organizations with organizational budgets smaller than $50,000. These grants provide much-needed funding for grassroots projects and many have seeded some of today's incredible and effective local nonprofits like Added Value, the New York Writers Coalition, Girls for Gender Equity and countless others.
To celebrate spring and help further our efforts to make Brooklyn
even more beautiful, we are proud to announce two new exciting
matching initiatives through our Micro-Grants Program and Green Communities Fund: the Spring Match and the Brooklyn Community Garden Fund. With thanks to our partners for these respective programs, ioby and Green Guerillas, our match will help put at least $20,000 into helping support local activities.
If your organization is working in the green space and meets the eligibility requirements, we hope you'll consider applying. Applications are due soon (March 31 for Spring Match and May 1 for the Fund), so don't delay!
